Cambridge Boys Lacrosse Mid-Season Review

Cambridge Boys Lacrosse Mid-Season Review

The Bears Varsity Boys Lacrosse team goes into Spring Break with a record of 8-3 and an Area record of 2-1.  All three of the Bears losses have come by 1 goal.  In their first season as a 6A/7A team, Cambridge has victories over traditional powers Walton, Roswell, and Harrison who have all made Final Fours in the very recent past.

The defense has been very impressive to this point, led by Senior Captain Goalie Ben Clark. Senior Eric Drucker has been tasked with guarding the opposing teams top attackman in each game and has on multiple occasions shut that player down. Junior Long Stick Midfielder Nick Ganem leads the team in ground balls and caused turnovers. He has been instrumental to the team's success with his play on the faceoff wings and in transition. Junior Defensive Midfielders Evan Kuykendall and Tyler Wald have been dominant on the defensive end of the field as well.

The offense has been balanced all season long with Senior Captain Jack Sadighian leading the way to this point, but contributions have come from many players.  Freshmen Midfielders Zach Shiffman and Ian Dexter have provided a huge spark as the only two underclassmen on the roster.

The Bears return to action after Spring Break to finish out the regular season with 5 more Area games, including a season finale showdown with the Milton Eagles that will have huge playoff implications.

Go Bears!
