Bears Varsity Boys Lacrosse Extend Win Streak to 4 Games with Win over South Forsyth

The Bears played South Forsyth in their first Area game of the season on Tuesday, March 7th, and came out on top with a score of 13-11.

The Bears controlled early taking an 8-4 lead into halftime, but South came out on fire in the 3rd Quarter and tied the score at 8.  Cambridge's leadership and poise took over from that point as the Bears scored the next 4 goals to extend the lead to 12-8 with only a few minutes to play.

Senior Captain, Jack Sadighian, led the way offensively with 3 goals.  Junior Midfielder Jack Oldham and Senior Attackman Zac Lehman each chipped in with 2 apiece. Once again the scoring came from multiple sources as 9 different players scored goals.

Senior Austin Walling and Junior Evan Kuykendall dominated the faceoff X all game long winning 75% of the draws.

The Bears now have a 4-1 record and are ranked #6 in the 6A/7A power rankings according to Laxpower.com

Cambridge returns to action on Friday, March 10th for their first road test of the year with a trip to West Cobb to face the Harrison Hoyas.
