Bears Varsity Boys Lacrosse Shuts Out Decatur 13-0 Tuesday, Feb. 21st

The Cambridge Boys Varsity Lacrosse team defeated Decatur 13-0 on Tuesday, February 21st. The Bears defense smothered the Bulldogs all night long, with Senior Captain Goalie Ben Clark leading the way.  Junior Cole Winsness played the 4th quarter to preserve the shutout.

Strong faceoff performances from Senior Austin Walling and Junior Evan Kuykendall allowed the Bears to maintain possession of the ball for a majority of the contest and Cambridge was able to capitalize on many of those possessions.

Senior Captain Jack Sadighian lead the scoring with 3 goals and 1 assist, while Junior Attackman Austin Darnell also scored a hat-trick.  Junior Hunter Penman netted his first Varsity goal, as did Freshman Zach Shiffman, who finished with 2 goals and an assist.

The Bears return to action on Saturday, February 25th to host their first 6A-7A opponent of the year, the 2014 and 2015 State Champion, Roswell Hornets.  The action begins at 1pm.

Go Bears!
