Cambridge Boys Lacrosse Falls 7-6 to Rival Blessed Trinity, Tuesday, March 8th

Cambridge Boys Lacrosse lost a tough nail biter in the final seconds, 7-6, in Area 3 play on Tuesday, March 8th.

The Bears had 23 shots on goal in this fast paced match-up, but the story of this game was BT's goalie, who made saves on the majority of shots thrown at him.  The game was close the whole way, with the teams able to trade goals.

The game was tied with :46 seconds left, but BT was able to secure the win on a great shot from outside the crease in front of the goal with :14 seconds remaining.

The Bears defense, led by Senior Captain Chase Darnell, along with Jack Lundstrom, Eric Drucker and Ryan Sadighian was able to force turnovers, and Ben Clark had some great saves in goal.

Ground ball leaders for the game include Nick Ganem, Chase Darnell, Ryan Sadighian, Ben Clark and Tyler Wald.  Bears scoring was shared by Senior Captain Jamie Wilkins, Griffin Chambers (2 goals), Jack Sadighian, Max Fleming and Austin Darnell, with assists by Sadighian, Wilkins and Darnell.

The Bears take on Fellowship Christian away on Tuesday, March 15th and Pinecrest on Thursday, March 17th at home.

The Pinecrest game is Cambridge Youth Lacrosse night, and Campania will be on hand with their mobile pizza oven.  It's the second game of a double-header with Cambridge Varsity Girls Lax.

Go Bears!
