Cambridge Varsity Boys' Lacrosse Defeats Fellowship 13-4, Saturday, March 14th

The Cambridge Bears Boys' Lacrosse team defeated Fellowship Christian School to improve their overall record to 5-1, Saturday, March 14th, at Bears Stadium.

The Bears defense, led by Balon Compton, Chase Darnell, Tate Prezzano and goalie Aaron Contreras, sent a message to Fellowship from the first face-off that they did not plan to allow much scoring.  In fact, the Bears' defense forced Fellowship to turn the ball over throughout the game with multiple takeaways by Raleigh Cassada, and prevented them from clearing the ball downfield.  The Bears easily won the ground ball battle, led by Austin Walling.

The Bears held Fellowship to one goal the entire first half and led at halftime 9-1, with a final score of 13-4.

Many Bears contributed to this victory, including goals by Jake Leddy (3), Chase Vassal (3), Brendan Fahey, Tyler Werth, Jack Sadighian, Max Fleming, Alex Sichynsky, and Carson Smith.  Goals were assisted by Zac Lehman, Werth and Leddy.  The Bears got the edge in the face-off battle with Walling and Eric Cizek leading the way.

This was another great team effort by the entire Bears Varsity team!  Next up:  Riverside Military Academy, Tuesday, March 17th.

Go Bears!
