Boy's Varsity Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Night with Win over Kennesaw Mountain

Cambridge Boy's Lacrosse celebrates the awesome SENIOR BEARS with a win over always-strong 6A Kennesaw Mountain!

During the final week of the regular season, the Bears faced Kennesaw Mountain on a gorgeous night in Bear Country!  The game started with ALL nine Seniors on the field to honor them on this special night.

As expected, Kennesaw started strong, playing tough defense and closing in on our offense.  After several missed shots on goal, the Bears found their rhythm and won critical face-offs, setting up fast breaks and scores, and then took over the first half 5-2.

Austin Walling and Freshman Tyler Wald won the majority of face-offs on the evening, keeping the Bears in charge through the 3rd quarter with a score 7-3.

Defense was led by Aaron Contreras in goal with awesome saves in the first half and assisted by defenders Tate Prezzano, Balon Compton, Chase Darnell, Raleigh Cassada, and by LSMs Nick Herrick, Nick Ganum and Nic Martini to keep Kennesaw from creating scoring opportunities.

Kennesaw was not going away and took advantage of every turnover bringing the score to within one goal in the 4th quarter.  The Bears were able to hold them off to win 8-7.

Goals were scored by several Bears including Brendan Fahey with 3, Jake Leddy, Tyler Werth, Jack Sadighian and Alex Sichynsky.  These goals were assisted by Fahey, Leddy and Tate Prezzano.

Congratulations again to our Senior Bears and their families!
