Bears Varsity Boys Lacrosse Wins over Milton 11-8, Monday, March 23rd

Cambridge takes down Milton 11-8 in intense, thrilling and physical cross-town rivalry, Monday, March 23rd!!

As expected the game was intense from the first face-off.

Cambridge fans filled the stands as The Bears got the first possession.  However, Milton secured the first goal after the Bears were stopped on multiple shots on goal. Cambridge Bear Jake Leddy answered with one of his three crazy goals on the night on the very next possession!  At end of the first quarter, Cambridge was in the lead 4-3 and ahead 8-5 at halftime.

Goals were scored by multiple players including three full-on-body goals by Leddy, an incredible no-look goal by Max Fleming and a 2-man-up-nail-in-the-coffin goal by Jack Sadighian, as well as two tough crease goals by Tyler Werth, an awesome "take-that" goal by Jameson Wilkinson after being harassed by the Milton announcer for missing an earlier shot, an "I-can-take-that-hit" goal by Brendan Fahey after being wrecked in the back of the head by a Milton midfield player and another great lefty goal by Will Britain.

Chase Darnell was determined to not let Milton get near the goal with the teamwork of his fellow Bears defenders Balon Compton, Tate Prezzano and Raleigh Cassada, taking the ball away, forcing turnovers and assisting Aaron Contreras in defending the Bears Goal.

Austin Walling won critical face-offs, especially in the second half and middies were winning the ground ball battle to dominate the second half.

Milton made a push at the end scoring a two quick goals in the 4th quarter and played tough and physical, but on this night, Cambridge was the better team on the field and in the stands!

BEARS WIN 11-8!!
