Cambridge Boys Lacrosse Drop Season Opener to Defending State Champion Northview

After two weeks of cancelled practices and three cancelled games, Boy's Varsity Lacrosse opened their season against non-region defending 5A State Champion Northview Titans on Friday, Feb. 27th, losing 17-2.

The Titans look to be a force in their move to 6A this season.  Their dynamic offense picked up where they left off last season, although the Bears defense made them work for their goals in the first half.

Coach Mike D'Andraia characterized the game as a "tough way to start," adding that "Northview has a great, experienced team."

"We had a few bright spots that we can build on, but overall, this game will serve as a learning experience for the group," D'Andraia said.

The Bears move on to face region opponents North Springs, Wesleyan and cross-town rival Alpharetta this week.

Go Bears!
