Men's JV Lacrosse Team Wins Big over Blessed Trinity 10-3

The Bears faced their most physical opponents yet when BT came to Bear Country Thursday April 3rd hoping to end the Bears' winning streak.

The Bears needed time to adjust to BTs pressure on them and the ball seeing that for the first time this season.  It took 10 minutes but Bears struck first on a Zach Lehman goal, assisted by Max Fleming and then again less than one minute later on a Zach Lodigensky goal, assisted by Lehman.  BT answered with a goal to end the first quarter.

There would be only one goal in the 2nd quarter when Lehman got an open lane for the score, assisted by Jack Sadighian to end the half 3-1 Bears!  BT applied good pressure on Bears middies and attacks and moved well against our defenders but struggled to get the ball past Bears Goalie Andrew Horton who had 10 saves in the first half.

The Bears adjusted to the pressure during the second half of the game winning face-offs by Chris Anderson and Jake Maxam, dominating ground balls and controlling possession of the ball.  The Bears would score 5 goals in the 3rd period by Lehman (2) assisted by Fleming and Eric Drucker; Griffen Chambers (2) assisted by Lehman; and Fleming assisted by Chambers.  Then two goals in the 4th by Chambers assisted by Dylan Gabriel and a final unassisted goal by Sadighian to keep The Bears comfortably ahead.

Bears goalie Joseph Dayoub had 2 saves during the 4th quarter and Bears Defenders were also key led by RJ Dykes with 4 take aways and 3 ground balls to hold BT to only one more goal the entire second half.

The Bears will face a tough Northview team Tues 4/15 @ NV then Fellowship Christian 4/17 @ Fellowship after a much deserved spring break!

GO BEARS!!!
