JV Men's Lacrosse Team Remains Undefeated

The Bears gave the Marist War Eagles a good look at their speed and shooting skills within the first :17 of the game after Austin Walling won the first two face-offs to set up two quick goals by Griffen Chambers assisted by Zach Lehman and Max Fleming

Bears Goalies Andrew Horton and Joseph Dayoub shared the shutout assisted by the entire Bears' defense. Marist was unable to generate much offense to get into scoring position due to the Bears defenders' and middies' relentless pursuit of the ball.

The Bears won the majority of the face offs producing fast break scoring opportunities and gained the advantage throughout the game, scooping up the ground balls before the War Eagles could get their sticks near the ball.

Scoring was shared by many Bears, including Griffen Chambers (3), Max Fleming (3), Jake Maxam (2), Jack Gruca, Croix Martini, Austin Walling and Zach Lehman with one each. These were assisted with great feeds and passes by Lehman (2), Fleming (2,) Jack Sadighian, Chambers and Zach Lodigensky. The Marist goalie did regroup and have several awesome saves during the second half, however, the damage had been done.

Both teams displayed great sportsmanship throughout the game, and minimal penalties were called on either team.

The JV Mens Lacrosse team is 9-0 for the season. They welcome Blessed Trinity into Bear Country on Thursday, April 3rd, at 5:30 p.m.

GO BEARS!!
