Cambridge Men's Varsity Lacrosse Posts Big Win over Creekview 12-6

The Men's lacrosse team had a convincing win over Creekview Tuesday, February 25th, controlling the game and leading the Grizzlies throughout the evening.

The Bears looked good having improved ground balls, clears and man-ball play.  Scoring was spread across the team with eight different Bears putting the ball in the net.  Once again leading the offense was freshman Tyler Werth with 1 goal and 3 assists.  Junior Sam Burrafato scored his first hat trick of the season – 3 goals – and Carson Smith had 1 goal and 2 assists.

The Bears had a few costly penalties at the start and end of the first half as well as the end of the game.  However, Cambridge's defense rose to the occasion and limited the Grizzlies' scoring on these man-down plays.  Leading this effort was Junior Tate Prezzano, who not only caused turnovers, but also cleared the ball well.  Goalies Ben Clark and Aaron Contreras also contributed to this defensive effort.

The Bears' next game is Friday, February 28th, as they will host Gainesville.  The JV game starts at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Varsity game which gets underway at 6:00 p.m.

Be sure to come out and support your Bears!
