Bears Varsity Men's Lacrosse Finish Season with Convincing Win Over Buford

Bears Varsity Men's Lacrosse Finish Season with Convincing Win Over Buford

Tuesday night April 30th was Senior Night at home for CHS's men's varsity lacrosse team and the Bears dominated Buford, winning 11-0.

The team's three seniors led the Bears on the field not only as captains but also in play.  Senior Ryan Callahan ruled on face offs, putting CHS's offense on the attack while also scoring for Cambridge, and Seniors Lauren DeLaPerriere and Graeme Harris spearheaded the offense.

First to score for the home team was Jake Leddy with a hard outside shot from up top.  Hard outside shots ruled the night, with the majority of the Bears goals scored that way.  The Bear defense delivered another strong performance, most notably Tate Prezzano in the first half.

The entire Cambridge offense came out shooting in the second quarter, starting with Leddy for his second goal of the night.  Three other Bears also had two goals in the game – Senior DeLaPerriere, Kevin Schukle and Jameson WilkinsBrendan Fahey and Sam Burrafato each added a goal to Cambridge's total.

Unable to get the ball past goalie Aaron Contreras, the penalties added up for the Wolves as their frustration grew in the second half.  Contreras maintained the shut out, aided by defensemen Joshua Kania, Raleigh Cassada, Prezzano and Britt Spurka.

Congratulations to the Bears for a great season!
