Cambridge Boys Golfers Take 4th Place at GHSA 6A State Golf Championship

AAAAAA Boys State Golf Championship
Woodmont Golf and Country Club
Monday & Tuesday, May 20-21

The Bears culminated their 2019 season by earning a fourth-place finish – Cambridge tied with Dalton – in the AAAAAA Boys State Golf Championship at Woodmont Golf and Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, May 20-21.

Cambridge's two-day total of 607 (305-302) enabled the Bears to finish three spots higher in the standings than they did in 2018.   Individually, Jake Peacock continued his stellar play by carding a one-under 143 (71-72) for the Bears.  Peacock's total was four strokes better than his performance in last year's state tournament and allowed him to share third place honors with three other competitors.

Berry College commit, senior Blake Farbman ended his Cambridge career in style with a solid score of 151 (76-75).  Farbman finished tied for 15th.  Fellow seniors Ryan Demit, who will continue his playing career in Nashville at Trevecca Nazarene University, and Hogan Losch posted scores of 154 (77-77) and 159 (81-78), respectively.

Also participating for the Bears were junior Coleman Leathers and sophomore Jack Unold.  Leathers (82-79) and Unold (83-78) each shot 161.
