The Cambridge Junior Varsity boys basketball team started the 2015-2016 season off with a hard fought victory over Sandy Creek 56-46.
The Bears displayed great team basketball as three players were in double figures lead by the Freshman duo of Bryce Boutelle (13 points) and Jack Filan (11 pts), and Sophomore Matt Gustafson (11 pts). Sophomores Blake Kollin (9 pts) and Chris Anderson were also key contributors.
After leading by one at halftime 26-25, Cambridge played great team defense down the stretch and made critical free throws to capture the victory.
The team next plays on Tuesday, December 1st at home against Lassiter HS at 4:30pm.
