Cambridge Senior Jordan Sloter Receives Top Honor

Senior varsity basketball player Jordan Sloter has made yet another first at Cambridge High School.  He passed the 1,000 point mark in a recent game where the Bears defeated Forsyth Central.  He was honored later in our home gym and has been recognized by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Head Coach Chip Flemmer says Jordan has been a rock for the Cambridge basketball program since day one.  "His ability to shoot the ball and score has been a tremendous asset to the team.  Jordan is a great ball player on the court, but an even better young man off the court.  It has been a pleasure to be his coach for the past three seasons.  Being the first player to pass the 1000 point mark for Cambridge is something that nobody can take away from him.  I'm sure, over time, that others will reach and beat that mark but Jordan has the distinction of being the first."

Athletic Director Matt Lawless is also praising Jordan's leadership on and off the court.  "It is only fitting that Jordan goes into the record books of our school and athletic department as the first 1,000 point scorer, and he is living proof that hard work and dedication pay off. I'm looking forward to seeing what he has left to do as we approach the region tournament."

Congratulations to Jordan Sloter for another first in Cambridge High School history.
