Both Cambridge varsity basketball teams kick off their regular season tonight as they host Dunwoody with tip off for the girls beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by the boys' team at 7:30 p.m.

Lady Bears Coach Lesley Broadwell is very excited about the first home game tonight.  "We are looking to use these early games as a measuring stick as far as where we are right now and what we need to work on before heading to region play.  We also are in the process of identifying roles and growing comfortable working together.  I love the energy of our team, and I think our fans will enjoy watching this group play."

Cambridge Varsity Boys Head Coach Chip Flemmer is also looking forward to the matchup tonight against the Wildcats and is ready to get the season underway. "We have put in a lot of work since the moment last season ended up until this opening game against Dunwoody.  I'm very anxious to see how we look against someone else.  Our motto is 'This Ain't Last Season' because we are such a different squad, and I don't want anyone to get caught up in how things were last year becuase more likely than not, it will not be how things are going to be this season.  We are raising the bar for these guys, and we are confident we can meet the high expectations."

There will be plenty of concessions, spirit wear and tons of excitement before the first home opener tip off, again beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Cambridge Main Gym.
