College Basketball Athlete Visits Cambridge High School

Jordan Lawley, University of California-San Diego's All-Time leading men's basketball scorer, paid a visit to the Cambridge men's basketball practice November 28th.  Lawley, Coach Chip Flemmer's cousin, has played professionally in New Zealand and Mexico, and he has turned his talents into basketball training.  He has a new basketball training DVD out and has been blessed to train several top athletes including Carmelo Anthony, who currently plays for the New York Knicks.

The Cambridge Bears were put to the test with dribbling drills that challenged them to the limit.  Lawley put the team through a series of intense conditioning activities that incorporated higher-level basketball moves.

"This was great for the team!  I got a chance to work with my cousin, and it was a great opportunity for our players to be challenged and for Jordan to have a chance to meet our players first-hand and see why I am so excited about the future of basketball at Cambridge High School," Coach Flemmer said.

"He is very fast-paced and works us to the fullest," Jordan Sloter said of the experience.
