Varsity Boys Basketball Opens Season with Scrimmage Win vs. Lumpkin County

The Bears came out of the gates a little rusty, but nearly halfway through the first quarter, the Bears pulled ahead and never relinquished the lead. The Bears won their first varsity  scrimmage game, defeating Lumpkin County 55-44.

Hunter Knocke came off the bench to lead the Runnin' Bears with 13 points.  Felix Sams added 12 points and played a solid four quarters.  Cambridge's only senior, Joey Kretschman, sparked the team with 11 points including several crucial outside jumpers at pivotal points in the game.  Brawley Thomas and Neill Christian gave the team a solid boost with both scoring and playing aggressive defense.

Come out and support the Bears as they travel to Pinecrest on Friday, November 16th at 6:00 pm in the Bears' 1st Regular Season game.
