After finishing 6th in their division in the state during regular season, the Gym Bears earned a spot at the State Preliminary Gymnastics meet on Thursday, April 22nd.
An impressive 9 Gym Bears qualified for the State Preliminary meet based on their regular season results:

- Talya Krevere - beam
- Victoria Lancaster - vault, beam
- Lia McSweeney - all around
- Madelyn Mild - vault, floor
- Emilija Ragaine - beam
- Anjali Roy - all around
- Ella Thurman - all around
- Adeline Woods - floor
With Cambridge qualifying as a team for State Prelims, only 4 girls were able to compete on each event. The team started on vault, with junior Lia McSweeney scoring a 9.1 and freshman Victoria Lancaster scoring an 8.95.
On the bars, the Gym Bears had a strong day. Lia scored an amazing 9.8 and freshman Anna Draper scored a 9.5.
On to beam, Anna led the team with a 9.45, followed by freshman Anjali Roy with a 9.175.
Finishing on floor, sophomore Ella Thurman scored a 9.125 and Anjali scored a 9.05.
The Gym Bears finished in 4th place, with a team score of 109.25, earning a spot to advance to the State Finals meet on Saturday, April 24th.
