The CHS Gym Bears finished 2nd, with a total score of 110.05, in the second meet of the 2020 season on Saturday 2/22.   The girls rallied through lineup changes and music difficulties for a strong finish, only a point behind Buford High School, who finished first. 

The strongest event for the team was vault, with Taylor Rech and Charlie Behner both scoring 9.6 and Ella Thurman scoring 9.4.  Taylor followed with a strong bar routine, scoring another 9.6 and Ella scoring a 8.5.   

Beam was another strong event for the girls with Taylor scoring yet another 9.6, Charlie scoring a 9.5, Ella with a 9.4 and Adeline Woods with an 8.9.  Despite the music challenges on floor, the team performed well with Taylor scoring an amazing 9.8, Charlie with a 9.0 and Ella with a 88.  

Congrats to Taylor with an impressive all around score of 38.6 and to Ella with an all around score of 36.1.  Taylor now has 2 of her 3 scores to qualify for state prelims, Ella has her first.  

The next meet is this coming Saturday 2/29 at 3:20 at BIO Gymnastics, hosted by South Forsyth High School.
