Gym Bears Finish 2nd in Opening Meet of 2020 Season, Saturday, Feb. 1st

The CHS Gym Bears finished 2nd, with a total score of 110.25, in the first meet of the 2020 season, hosted by Buford High School. The girls started on the balance beam, with high scores from Charlie Behner and Taylor Rech, 8.85 and 9.55 respectively.

The girls had a strong showing on floor with high scores again coming from Charlie and Taylor, 9.3 and 9.5 respectively. On vault, Adeline Woods and Taylor Rech both scored 9.4, with Charlie Behner receiving the high score on the team of 9.7.

The girls finished the meet with solid bar routines. Charlie again had the high score of 9.6, followed by Lia McSweeney scoring a 9.5 and Taylor scoring a 9.4.

Congrats to Taylor with an all around score of 37.85 and to Charlie with an all around score of 37.45. Both Gym Bears have their first of 3 scores to qualify for state prelims.

The next Gym Bears meet is on Saturday February 22nd at 3pm at Gymnastix Training Center in Buford. Go Bears!
