Cambridge Football Earns 1st Ever Playoff Win by Defeating Kell 36-14, Friday, November 27th

History Makers!
Cambridge earned their first ever playoff win Friday, Nov. 27th against Kell to advance to the sweet 16. 

After a defensive first quarter with a score of 0-0, Zach Harris threw touchdown passes to junior Cade Ellington and senior Hayden Gardella. The defense continued to shut out Kell in the first half with an interception by senior Luke Ritter before the half. 
 
In the opening drive of the 3rd quarter, Philip-Michael Collins reached the end zone to make it 20-0.  Kell attempted a comeback by scoring 14 unanswered points, however, the Cambridge offense reached the end zone 2 more times with more rushing touchdowns by Philip-Michael Collins.
 
Cambridge finished off Kell with a fumble recovery by junior Ethan Smith and a safety by the Bears defense. With a final of 36-14, the Bears advance to the second round playing Buford High School, the 5A defending state champions.
 
Special shout-out to Philip-Michael Collins for breaking the school record for most rushing touchdowns.
