Bears Varsity Football Shuts Out Centennial 37-0, Friday, October 16th

Cambridge High School had its first 7-6A win Friday, October 16th against Centennial High.

A strong display on offense and defense led the Bears over the Knights 37-0.  

To start the game, the Bears open up with #17 Ian Chaffin running 5 yards for his 1st Varsity touchdown.   On defense Senior Cornerback #3 Ryan Counts returned an interception rushing for a 38 yard touchdown late in the first quarter. 

During Bears next possession, Sophomore running back #24 Christian Isibor scored with a short touchdown rush.  A fumble recovery by #22 Bennett Long set up a 3-yard touchdown rush from Senior running back #2 Phillip-Michael Collins to close out the half at 28-0.

Midway through the 3rd quarter PMC found the end zone from 34 yards out for another Bears touchdown and the dominant Defense also got a safety for 2 points.

McCall Bennett's 5 extra points and the determination of Special teams led to Cambridge's first shutout since 2015.  "Amazing"
