Bears JV Football Wins 33-20 Over North Springs

Congratulations JV Bears on your 33-20 Win over North Springs!

Cambridge Bears final JV football game of the season ended on a high note with a big win against the North Springs Spartans. The Bears had a very strong drive when they recovered a North Springs fumble. Keaton Bruder, Boltin Teeter, and quarterback Jair Hawkins-Anderson all rushed for consecutive first downs to get in the Red Zone. Teeter, who had an overall standout performance in the game, ran in the first touchdown.  A solid PAT, by kicker Clay Hammer, put the Bears in the lead 7-0.  The Spartans answered with a touchdown but failed on the 2 point try.

Several Bears had the opportunity to run the ball in to the end-zone before the game ended. Hawkins-Anderson,  Ricky Nuckles and Brendan Fahey also ran the ball in to score in the third quarter. PATs by Hammer and solid defense led by Eric Cizek helped the Bears hold North Springs 27-6 at the end of the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Spartans scored 2 unanswered touchdowns, but the Bears weren't going to let the lead slip away and with 2 minutes remaining, Hawkins-Anderson ran in one more touchdown to put the victory in reach.   Final score was 33-20!  The victorious Bears ecstatically headed back home on the bus after the game.

Congratulations Bears!
