Bears Take On Bulldogs in First "Bennett-Bowl"

Bears Take On Bulldogs in First "Bennett-Bowl"

The Friday, October 12, football game will bring a challenging but interesting match up between the Cambridge Bears and the Forsyth Central Bulldogs.  The Bears, coached by Craig Bennett, come in with an 0-5 record.  The Bulldogs, coached by brother Chris Bennett, are 1-4 with a recent win against the winless North Springs and are hoping for another win in what is a homecoming game for Central.   Forsyth Central has only 5 returning starters including junior wide receiver, Jeremiah Jones who is 6'3". Jones is the leading receiver in the Region 7A league with 12 receptions for 281 yards.

Forsyth Central considers itself a young team, but the Bulldogs do have some size in 6ft., 205 lbs, running back Shay Hollis whose reputation is "fast and big."  Defensive lineman Ruben Rubio at 310 lbs is formidable.  Now half-way through the season, both teams are counting on the experience to add up to a competitive game.  The Bears finished their last game with strong passing results from Kevin Little to receivers AJ Campbell and Malik Harris and hope to carry that confidence forward in to Friday's game against the Bulldogs.

Game time at Forsyth Central in Cumming is 7:30pm.

Come cheer the Bears, and watch to see which brother coaches his team to a victory in Bennett-Bowl I.
