Bears Can't Trip up Osborne, Fall 20-0

Bears Can't Trip up Osborne, Fall 20-0

The ups and downs of being a first year, young team were apparent Friday night as the Cambridge Bears fell to the Osborne Cardinals 20-0. The Bears came into the game with a lot of optimism for a competitive game against then 0-3 Osborne, but mistakes and inexperience could not be overcome.

One of the highlights the Bears had was to slow down the Cardinals' passing game with great pressure from #19 Tate Prezzano and #12 Brian Moore who held Osborne to only 34 yards in 4 of 11 pass attempts.

Despite only trailing 9-0 as the first half wound down, the Bears failed to convert on a critical 4th and 6 to get a badly needed first down.  #34 JD White rushed for 61 yards, but it wasn't enough to keep up with Osborne's leading rusher, Robert Cook, who had  241 yards.

The Bears head in to this week to prepare for the September 28th game against Pope High School in Marietta.  Pope is 2-2 with a 45-27 win against Northview High School.
