Cambridge Varsity Baseball Drops Non-Region Game to Denmark, Wednesday, Feb. 26th
Cambridge faced off against Denmark for the first time in school history and came away with a 10-3 defeat Wednesday night, February 26th in a game played at Danes field.  The loss drops the Bears record to 4-4 on the season.

Johnny Eneberg got the start on the mound for Cambridge and found trouble in the first, but got out of a bases loaded jam.  He wasn't as fortunate in the second as Denmark pushed three runs across courtesy of a bases clearing double.  The home team added three more in the third, effectively putting the game out of reach.

The Cambridge bats were mostly silent on the evening.  Down 7-0 in the fifth, the Bears pushed the first run across courtesy of a Justin Hozman sacrifice fly.  Cody Rech launched an opposite field bomb to right in the sixth to plate the second run of the game after Denmark had added three of its own in the fifth.  Down 10-2, Cambridge plated its final run of the game in the seventh on a Ryan Todd RBI single to left.

Eneberg took the loss for Cambridge.  Jackson Woods led the offense with two hits and a run scored.  Rech had the home run, while Matt Faby had a double.

Cambridge continues non-region play with a game Thursday, February 27th at West Forsyth HS.  Game time is 6 PM.

Go Bears!
