Cambridge JV Baseball Defeats Creekview, Lose to Sequoyah

The Cambridge Bears JV lost 7-3 in seven innings on Tuesday, March 17th, despite outhitting Sequoyah 10 to seven.

Cameron Moore did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Bears, reaching base three times. He singled in the first and third innings.

Tyler Wilson recorded the win for Sequoyah. He allowed three runs over three innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered eight hits.

Ryan Fahey lasted five innings struck out five and allowed five runs for Cambridge.

 

Cambridge-8, Creekview-5  Monday, March 16th

Bradley Weidman went 2-3, helping the Cambridge Bears JV to an 8-5 victory over Creekview on Monday, March 16th. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Cameron Moore recorded the win for the Bears even though he allowed five runs over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered eight hits.

Creekview's Spates ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The lead stayed with the Bears after the first, when they scored two runs on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Loess and an RBI single by Kyrie Jenkins.

After pushing across one run in the top of the fourth, Creekview faced just a 7-1 deficit. An error triggered Creekview's comeback. Finally, Moore induced an inning-ending strike out from Treadwell.

Three runs in the top of the fifth helped Creekview close its deficit to 7-4. An error, an RBI double by Cloud, and an RBI single by Robinson set off the Creekview rally. The Creekview threat came to an end when Moore finally got Rodman.
