Cambridge Freshman Baseball Lose, then Tie Blessed Trinity in Double Header

Cambridge-5, Blessed Trinity-5  Tuesday, March 17th Game 2

The Bears and Blessed Trinity played to a 5-5 tie on Tuesday, March 17 with James Lewis starting on the mound.

The top of the first saw Blessed Trinity take an early lead, 2-0. The Bears came alive in the bottom of the 4th inning with Teddy Egan's single followed by Mason Stanley's walk and a double stroked to left center by Jordin D'Aversa-Williams. Egan and Stanley scored.

In the 5th inning, Connor Morris walked to get a three run inning started and end the game with a 5-5 tie.

 

Blessed Trinity-9, Cambridge-5  Tuesday, March 17th Game 1

Pitcher Jackson Edmiston did all he could to give the Bears a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Blessed Trinity, as the Bears lost 9-5 in five innings in the first game of a double-header.

Edmiston racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Bears. He doubled in the first inning.

The Bears jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first.  Al Webb started the rally for the Bears with a double. Edmiston doubled, scoring Teddy Egan and Webb. The scoreboard lit up again for the Bears when Carson Friden and Edmiston scored on a fielder's choice.

Blessed Trinity stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring six runs on two doubles and two singles.

Blessed Trinity built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth to win it.
