Varsity Baseball Opens 2015 Season with Win over South Forsyth

The Cambridge Varsity Bears baseball team opened the 2015 season by defeating South Forsyth 8-7 in a scrimmage game, Friday, Feb. 13th.

Coach Jeffrey commented, "Jonathan Mullis, Hank Winch, Parker Currier, Michael Viafora, Michael Leeman and Conner Young all pitched and performed very well."

Closing pitcher Conner Young helped seal the win. Team Co-Captain, Brian Moore's home run in the sixth inning helped Cambridge hang on to win the first varsity scrimmage of the season.

Last weekend, Bear families enjoyed a cookout after the annual Meet the Bears event held at CHS. Coach Jeffrey is predicting a winning season with his strongest
lineup since Cambridge opened in 2012.
