2024 Cambridge Athletic Association Scholarship

The Cambridge Athletic Association (“CAA”) is very pleased to announce its 8th Annual College Scholarship program for the Class of 2024. This year the CAA will offer one $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is made possible by the generous contributions of CAA Members and Sponsors. It is designed to recognize outstanding CHS senior student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and character on the playing field, in the classroom and in the school and/or community. The scholarship winner will be recognized at Honors Night. The scholarship is available to any senior who participates on a Cambridge athletic team during the 2023-24 school year and who meets the Minimum Criteria below. The CAA Scholarship must be used for 2024-25 educational needs only, e.g., college tuition, room & board, mandatory fees, books, etc.

Minimum Criteria:

Academic achievement - a cumulative average minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the fall semester of the applicant’s senior year. o Athletic achievement – a participant on a Cambridge athletic team during the 2023-24 school year. o Good Citizenship - by having no in-school or out-of-school suspensions in his/her high school career.
Progress toward graduation with appropriate credits to graduate with the 2024 class in May.

Additional Criteria:

Leadership and character within the school and/or community.
A commitment to community service.
Outstanding contributions to extracurricular activities in the school and/or community.

Application requirements:

1. Completed application must be emailed to CAAScholarships@cambridgebears.com

2. At least one (and no more than three) letter of recommendation(s) from a coach of a Cambridge athletic team (may be the head coach, assistant coach, or community coach of any Cambridge athletic team).

Deadline:

All required materials (completed application, letter of recommendation and counseling office letter) must be received no later than Friday, April 19, 2024.

Save the file with applicant's first name and last name.
Attach and send file of the above application to CAAScholarships@cambridgebears.com.

Recommendation letter:

• Include Coach's Recommendation Letter Print the recommendation letter and give to appropriate coach (or email directly) to fill out and submit.
