Congratulations to the Lady Bears Varsity Tennis team, the Cambridge Athletes of the Week!

The Lady Bears Tennis team defeated Alpharetta 3-0 to win the 6A State Championship on Saturday, May 6th!  This was the Lady Bears' 2nd State Championship in 3 years!

Having lost a tight, competitive match to the Raiders in the Region Championship, the girls were fired up and ready to get the win when it mattered the most. 

2 Doubles "Sister Act" of Shelley Larson and Allison Larson finished first with a 6-4, 6-3 win.  Next off was 1 Dubs pair Ann Spurka and Isabella Larson whose only loss all year was to the Alpharetta 1 Dubs team in the region championship.  They were determined to fix that this time and won a great match 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.  Then, Hanna Giddings, who went undefeated in 1 Singles all season, clinched the win with a 7-6, 7-5 victory! 

2 Singles Sydney Orefice and 3 Singles Emma Holmes did not have to finish and the girls rallied to celebrate with one another.
