Congratulations to Sophomore Ashley Dale Henslee and Freshman Matt Hogan, the Cambridge Athletes of the Week!
Ashley Dale Henslee is a sophomore that has improved
dramatically this semester to become one of the fastest girls on
the team.
Her sprint freestyle led the girls to beat out North Springs in
the last touch of the Medley Relay before winter break, and now she
has led the girls' team to also qualify their 200-freestyle relay
for the state championship meet in February at Georgia Tech. She is
to lead the girls' team this weekend to try to qualify in their
last relay, the 400-freestyle relay, in which Henslee will
anchor.
Matt Hogan is a freshman and has constantly improved the entire
season.
Matt is talented in all strokes and always practices and races to
the utmost of his ability. His times this season consistently get
faster throughout the season, especially in his freestyle. Last
weekend, Hogan dropped over two-seconds from his 100-freestyle to
swim a 56.66, one of the fastest times on the team. Hogan is a
significant contender to accompany his team to state with the
relays in February. This weekend, the team will look to Hogan to
drop more time and help his team qualify for state in the
200-freestyle relay.
Congratulations Ashley Dale and Matt ... You are the Cambridge Athletes of the Week!
