Congratulations to Sophomore J.R. Salemi, the Cambridge Athlete of the Week!

J.R. Salemi, who is a sophomore, is having quite the year this inaugural wrestling season.  So far he is 12-0, which includes 9 pins.  His 2012 pre-season rank is #2 in the GHSA AAAAA, and his trackwrestling rank is in the top 12% in the country.  He has only given up two points so far this season.

Last year, Salemi finished 4th at the State GHSA AAAAAA Wrestling Tournament.  He has already collected numerous awards, which include being a two-time Georgia Greco Roman State Champion as well as a 2012 Georgia State Champion-Freestyle.  In 2010, he was named the AAU All American Wrestler in Georgia. Salemi set records last year at Milton High School for single season wins with 53 and the single season pin record with 33.
