This week, the Cambridge Athletic Association is recognizing the inaugural cheerleaders at Cambridge High School.
After placing 3rd in Region 7 AAAAA, the squad advanced to the State Sectionals. Coach Allison Chambless has this message for this exceptional group:
"This was a wonderful opportunity and an amazing accomplishment for our cheerleading program. The team traveled to Columbus Georgia to compete at the State Sectionals level on November 9th,where we placed 16th. I would like to recognize each cheerleader for your hard work, dedication, commitment, and much more. Each of you has grown through cheerleading, both physically and mentally. All of your hard work from May until November has paid off, and we are so proud of each of you. Also, I would like to thank our cheer parents for all of your support and dedication throughout the season. I like to refer to our cheer program as a puzzle and each of us, including parents, cheerleaders, and coaches, is a vital piece to that puzzle, so THANK YOU to everyone who has made this 1st year a SUCCESS. GO BEARS! "
