Senior Hawk Hammer is the Cambridge High School Athlete of the Week

Hammer scored the first points ever in a Cambridge Varsity Football game as he kicked a 26-yard field goal with 1:27 left in the first half in Friday's game against South Forsyth.

This is Hammer's first year playing football and was his first kick ever in a game. 

Cambridge High School Football Coach Craig Bennett could not be more proud of this young athlete.  "He is a multi-sport athlete.  He also runs cross country, so we split time for practices.  Hammer is 1 for 1 in field goals."

Hammer is hoping to swim and play baseball this spring.  He has run track the last few years.
